Getting noticed in a clouded world

I joined Monolith Software in late April as the Director of Marketing and over the course of the last 50 days or so, I have learned a tremendous amount about the monitoring space. One of the biggest things that I have learned is that there are a ton of companies involved in this space, all with different stories to tell.  It seems as if everyone is touting their solution as the right solution for all companies needs.  Some preach the quick ROI due to non complex installs, while others talk about how open source is not a viable solution for most organizations.

I find among the niche or point solution players a tremendous amount of vitality, creativity and of course the standard dislike for their competitors’ practices.  Some have launched new websites, created what would be called a social media strategy by jumping on the twitter and blogging bandwagon to gain visibility and search rankings.   I have seen a tremendous amount of high-quality marketing pieces come from vendors recently and I am quite sure there is even more of it to come.

Enter Monolith Software.

As of right now, Monolith Software is not very well known.  Sure, we play well in the industry and have what I would consider to be a unique offering in the marketplace.  We have so many unique differentiators as a company that will be told in time and some  great customers who see a tremendous value in our solution.  Over the course of next several months, Monolith will be launching a new website along with an exciting new release of our solution.  As our marketing efforts ramp up one of things that we will not lose sight of as an organization is our customer.  Our customer and their needs are priority number one.   We want to deliver the most amount of value to our customers, and we will do so through a variety of different things we have going on behind the scenes.  Monolith will be making some noise in the crowded monitoring marketplace and will have some fun along the way.

Our bags are packed and to me, our Odyssey is just beginning.
