Dashboards for Maintenance Windows?

As I was speaking with a customer the other day, we got to chatting about a unique and extremely valuable way they use the Monolith Dashboard engine for maintenance windows.  I found out that they have determined a quick and easy way to save time and increase productivity, by relying entirely upon Monolith’s Dashboard engine to execute their maintenance window projects.  It is always exciting for me to learn how customers save time and increase productivity, so I dug a little deeper into how they do this.

What I learned was that during maintenance planning, the operation leader analyzes what is to be changed, and then has to determine what the current state of that environment is, which is perfect dashboard material.    During the maintenance, administrators use the dashboard to verify the changes.  In addition, the operations center uses it to monitor the impact of the maintenance.  After concluding the maintenance, the same dashboard used for original verification is used to confirm that the environment is returned to the same state, which I think is a stroke of genius.

By doing it this way, the customer said they save up to 2 hours of verification on every maintenance window using Monolith’s dashboards.   It is amazing to me that the simple things, when properly executed, can save companies money and time, and in turn increase productivity.

As I continue to talk to our great customers,  stories such as these prove that when flexible monitoring/management solutions are put in the hands of operational professionals, businesses get tremendous value.

I invite you to learn more about our dashboards.
