Staff Engineer

Job Description:

Entry level position to be part of a team of engineers who will work on various programming projects within the organization. Individuals from this area would then be placed into departments within the organization based upon their demonstrated skill sets.

Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Interaction with customers via email and phone
  • Software OS/Application installation/upgrades/maintenance
  • Application configuration, customization, and enhancement
  • Support/develop internal IT systems
  • Execution and Reporting on tasks to assigned managers

Must be a team player, task oriented, responsible, go-getter positive attitude, has focus, drives internal growth, efficient, follows process, communicates well, and takes direction well.

Skills Required:

  • Windows and Linux Operating Systems Environments (write scripts, do installs, restarts/reboots, etc.)
  • Perl/PHP scripts and syntax
  • MySQL experience a plus
  • Infrastructure management software experience a plus
  • BS degree or equivalent experience

Additional Information:

  • Position is offered on a 3 month contract to hire basis
  • Does not require travel in the 1st 3 months
  • Will be based in St. Charles, IL
